Election Time!
Watch Them Wiley Democwats!

In 1965, William F. Buckley ran as the Conservative candidate for Mayor of
New York City. The likelihood of a victory for Buckley in that race was nearly
nonexistent and accordingly the campaign wasn't taken very seriously, not
even by Buckley himself.
A reporter asked him what his first action would be if he were elected:
"I'd demand a recount," came the reply.
With the mid-term elections only days away, you can bet that there's gonna
be a whole lotta recountin' goin' on real soon, but it ain't gonna be perplexed
Republican candidates dogging those loose chads.
The Democrats are in a virtual tizzy this time around, don't you know. Just
as Buckley was sure that a victory would mean that someone goofed, the Democrats
are sure that any Republican victory anywhere must, almost by definition,
mean that someone goofed, and they'll be out in force to ensure that that
doesn't happen. Democrats just don't lose, you see, and if they do, there
must be some shenanigans goin' on. I think it's a law.
Accordingly, Democratic operatives are planning to man the polling places
with thousands of... lawyers. That's right. Lawyers. I'm not making
this up. The theory is, apparently, that anyone who votes Republican must
have been tricked, paid, or bullied into it, and the lawyers will be on-hand
to take any potential Republican victory immediately to court.
The Democratic Party is the Party of the People, after all. And if the People
are too stupid to vote as they should, why, the Party will be right there
to fix any unfortunate mistakes through activist courts. We have seen repeatedly
- Florida, New Jersey - that the Democrats won't let a little thing like the
law get in the way of victory. What is a silly thing like an election law,
after all, when the Greater Good is at stake?
If the Democrats are to hold on to their ability to subvert, ignore, and generally
"dis" the law, then they must maintain control of the Senate. Nothing
less than their ability to obstruct and deny a Republican President and his
judicial nominations is at stake, so the stops are coming out, and it's going
to get ugly.
The ideal situation, of course, would be not to allow a Republican victory
to begin with, thereby lightening the case load on all those crooked lawyers
and radical judicial activists (judges). To that end, the Democrats are already
on the move. They seek to deny and challenge early voting in Republican districts
(early voting is only for officially designated oppressed groups: Read, the
government-dependent Democratic base). They are registering dead people on
Indian reservations. They are whipping out (surprise!) that old standby, the
race
card, telling black voters in advance that they are being "disenfranchised."
They are firing up and paying off the union thugs, performing end-runs around
their own Campaign Censorship Laws, push-polling the elderly, and spreading
lies, distortions and fear among the ill-informed.
Thuggery and physical intimidation are personal favorites of mine as Democratic
campaign tools go. Being a Philadelphian, I've witnessed this handy tactic
firsthand on numerous occasions. (Philadelphia produced the current Democratic
Pennsylvania (and probable winner) gubernatorial candidate, former mayor Ed
Rendell, a union thugs's thug himself, and master of the art of physical intimidation
and educational beatings. (See the Deposition
of Ed Rendell by Judicial Watch in connection with the beating of Clinton
Protester Don Adams, and the Judicial Watch lawsuit against Ed Rendell on
his behalf.) ) Those big, dependent "blue" counties in Pennsylvania,
aided by the Senior (give me my drugs!) Citizens will elect ol' Eddie handily.
Why, in Philadelphia, the 2000 presidential elections saw a 100 percent
turnout of registered voters, with 95 percent of those votes going
for Al Gore! I don't know what's funnier, the massive vote fraud itself, or
the deafening lack of public outrage at the news.
What isn't so funny is the truth in all of this, and that isn't the half of
it. The homeless vote Democratic in exchange for cigarettes, the dependent
classes vote Democratic in exchange for promises of government largess, the
uninformed vote Democratic out of ignorance and the weak vote Democratic out
of fear. Felons vote. Dead people vote. Illegal immigrants vote. In Florida,
Haitians are beaten into voting "right," Cuban Americans, in unabashed
expressions of racism, are demonized as "worthless drunks" for their
voting transgressions, and in New York ethnic blocks are paid off with official
favors. In Democrat America, everyone, living or dead, votes, whether they
mean to or not. And if they don't, or if they vote "wrong," there
are always the courts to make it "right."
This is what the once noble Democratic Party has been reduced to - this is
what they stand for. The Democrats, co-opted by the radical left, have defined
themselves as thieves, thugs, and liars. Thieves, thugs and liars can only
maintain power by ignoring the law, intimidating the weak and deceiving the
ignorant, of course, and that is what these mid-term elections are all about.
I am tempted to close with an admonishment to be vigilant, to keep a watchful
eye this November 5 at your own polling place for illegal and unethical practices.
But having behind me the experience of sitting by and watching as arrogant
and elitist liberal courts overturn the will of the people as they arbitrarily
rewrite the law of the land, as they subvert the role of the legislature and,
in so doing, upset the balance of powers, I realize that it will take more
than that.
It will take your vote. That solution is to get out and vote - and
to vote in vast numbers - for decency, honor, integrity, character,
and the rule of law. When the subversion of the processes of our Republic
becomes as far-reaching and ingrained as it has, the only means of correction
at our disposal is to overwhelm that subversion with the true voice of the
American heartland.
Not to condescend, but I truly believe that sometimes we need reminding that
numbers, vast or small, can only start with the number one, and build
from there, each time adding another one.
Go thee forth on November 5, add your one to mine, and no amount of
recountin' will deny your will. Then, when the polls are closed (late though
that may be in some districts - the law be damned), I'll meet you on the other
side of a renewed Republic - safe for another two years.
Buckley would be proud.
